A tree-lined residential street at golden hour.
Mailbox 4143

A monthly printed mailer about living alone, well.

Every month, one envelope: a handwritten piece of mail from a person, with a few good ideas, a recommendation for getting out of the house, a recipe for one, and an occasional surprise on the last page.

What to expect

Something worth opening, every single month.

01

A letter, and a little 'zine

A well-written, thoughtfully put-together — and correctly spelled and punctuated — letter tucked inside stories, thoughts, drawings, and whatever else seems authentically worth sharing that month.

02

A recipe for one (or two)

Because leftovers are the whole point. Plus occasional "growing things" tidbits and thoughts on living alone and liking it.

03

An "In the Wild" Challenge

A few low-commitment ideas for going somewhere, doing something, or getting outside your usual orbit. The standing rule: you are always allowed to leave.

04

A little surprise

Something waiting on the last page, every month. Not telling you what — that would defeat the purpose.

It won't always look the same. Some months Mailbox 4143 is a little magazine; other months it's more newsletter-style. Around the holidays, you might find a card with your letter tucked inside. Always from the heart, always with the same authenticity — you'll know something is coming, just not always exactly what.

Along the way

Recipes, garden notes, small adventures.

A handful of freshly picked cherry tomatoes from the garden.
A slice of blueberry pie with whipped cream.
A solo backyard dinner plate with a burger, grilled onion, and roasted pepper.
Smiling in front of a historic clocktower on a solo city walk — an 'In the Wild' moment.

Hi! I'm Marti — a writer by trade who may love getting mail even more than making it. Mailbox 4143 is a mail club for people who live alone, on their own terms, and still want something worth opening in the box.

When does billing renew?
Monthly plans roll over automatically by the 15th of each month. Annual plans are a single payment up front.
Lost-mail replacement
My issue never arrived — what happens?
If it hasn't arrived by the start of the second full business week, let us know via Contact and we'll send another.
Updating payment or address
How do I change my mailing address or card?
Both are self-service from your account — no need to contact us. Updates apply to your next scheduled issue.
Cancellation & pause
Can I pause instead of cancelling?
Yes — pause or cancel anytime from your account, no customer service ticket required. Pausing skips upcoming issues without ending your subscription.

Select countries are eligible — eligibility is flagged at checkout. Final country list and delivery timing still TBD.
Single issues
Can I buy just one issue?
When stock allows, back issues are available in the Shop.

Can I send this as a gift?
Yes — place your order with the recipient's shipping address at checkout. There's no separate gift-subscription product; it's a regular subscription shipped to someone else.
